This Crime Stoppers Program began in December 1998 as Burleson County Crime Stoppers. In October of 2007 Lee County joined our program and the name was changed to Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers.  In March 0f 2008 Bastrop County joined our program.

 Our program is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation.  Our program is certified by the Texas Crime Stoppers Advisory Council of the Criminal Justice Division. The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the area.

Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers is comprised of diverse, active and dedicated community representatives serving on the board of directors, without compensation. Crime Stoppers provides a method for local law enforcement to receive information on crimes. These efforts increase tips, which in turn increase arrests in our community.
