On Thursday, July 15, 2021, at approximately 9:53 p.m., Burleson County law enforcement responded to an armed robbery at 16999 S.H. 36 in Somerville, Texas. Two black males and what appears to be a Hispanic male with mask entered the store armed with handguns and demanded money from the store clerk and store patrons inside. A fourth suspect, who was driving the car that the group got away in, fled north on S.H. 36. The clerk suffered minor injuries due to being struck in the head. it was the second time within a year that an armed robbery occurred at the store. The previous robbery was September 28, 2020, both incidents are very similar in nature The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2018 or newer brown GLA 250 Mercedes SUV

On 05/22/2023 an unknown suspect/s entered onto a property in the Elgin area, and took without consent, a white 1999 Ford F550 truck. The above (left) image captured is of the suspect truck. The above (right) image is of the victim's truck that was stolen. It was reported last being observed traveling southbound on Old Sayers Rd. in Bastrop County. OFFENSE LOCATION: 3719 North Smith Road REPORT #: 2021-10556OFFENSE DATE: 10/13/2021 OFFENSE TIME: 0545 Hours On October 13, 2021, around 0725 hours, Fate DPS responded to the above-listed address in reference to a motor vehicle burglary. When officers arrived on the scene, the victim, Marlow Perry, stated sometime through the night, an unknown person/persons went through her unlocked vehicle and took her purse without her permission. She advised her purse contained her passport, driver's license, and multiple credit/debit cards. While officers were on scene, she received text message notifications from Chase Bank advising her of fraud of $1,034.40 at the Neighborhood Walmart in Rowlett and Rockwall. The footage was obtained of the suspects." See Below" Perry advised they also took an Apple key chain that has GPS capabilities. The device was pinging in Rowlett near the Home Depot. The suspects were not located, and Home Depot reported no vehicles had been returned to their store. We confirmed that the suspects were driving a rented Home Depot truck and a silver Nissan pickup through video footage at Walmart. "See Below" No identifying information was obtained from the footage on the Home Depot truck. The Nissan truck appears to be a four-door Frontier with black wheels and a front push bumper. No LP was obtained from the footage. The GPS tracking showed the suspects traveled to Austin, Texas, possibly stopping at a Walmart. The suspects then traveled to Manor, Texas, where they possibly stopped at another Walmart. Thelast location that was logged was 8801 Ingrid Drive, Elgin, Texas, 78621. This is not a verified location but an approximate one at this time. Local PD is being contacted to check this location. Other Information: We are currently working with the Rockwall County Sheriff's Department as they also are working on numerous BMV's that occurred during the night. On Friday, December 23, 2022, the Somerville Police Department responded to a series of burglaries that had occurred on State Highway 36 in Somerville, Texas. The two black male offenders entered four restaurants and made off with less than $50.00 in cash. Between September 3rd and 4th, 2022, a white enclosed cargo trailer belonging to Flames of Glory Cowboy Church was stolen from the Lower Red Rock Rd. area in Bastrop County and reported to authorities. On September 4th at approximately 6:00 AM, a silver/gray 2000-2003 Chevrolet extended cab step side was captured on video towing the trailer. The suspect operating the truck was described as a H/M, with dark facial hair, left earing, wearing a camo cap and camo long sleeve shirt. The suspect was last scene leaving the FM 535/FM 20 Rockne area. This vehicle is believed to be associated in additional trailer thefts in Bastrop County.
