On 02/21/2017 at approximately 149am a Bastrop County resident was the victim of a carjacking in front of his property located in the 8100 block of Wolf Lane, as he was about to leave the property a white in color truck pulled up behind him and he was made to lay on the ground at gun point by at least one unidentified person described as a Hispanic Male with dark hair and a mustache wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, the subject then took the victims Black Toyota Tundra and drove north on Wolf Lane towards Hwy 71.

  At Approximately 155am a store clerk at the Circle K Convenience Store located at 2854 SH 71W called 911 to report a robbery that had just occurred, the clerk said a Hispanic male wearing blue jean shorts and a dark green jacket with a blue hoodie over his head entered the store, brandished a black handgun and demanded money.  During the Robbery a customer walked in and was ordered to the ground at gun point by the subject, the customer later said there was a white Dodge truck backed in at the southeast corner of the store when he arrived.  The suspect then fled the area traveling north on Tucker Hill Lane.

  The white Dodge truck was located abandoned about a block behind the store on the side of the roadway, when deputies arrived Travis County Sheriff’s Deputies were already on location and checked the vehicle registration it was found to have been stolen out of Austin in a similar carjacking the same morning.

  At approximately 930am The Austin Police Dept. located the stolen Toyota Tacoma truck in the parking lot of the “Food Spot” Convenience Store located at 6607 Pleasant Valley Rd. in Austin. The store surveillance video shows three Hispanic male subjects exiting the truck in the parking lot at 233am, one of the subjects enters the store and attempts to purchase a gas container.  All three subjects briefly speak with two other Hispanic males in a maroon PT Cruiser and then leave the parking lot, the three subject’s then leave on foot walking west on Pleasant Valley Rd.

 

The three subjects are described as:

Suspect 1) H/M thin build, Blk hair, light facial hair appx. 18 years of age wearing a dark gray hoodie and wearing dark colored pants with light colored spots.

 

Suspect 2) H/M thin build, Blk hair, appx. 18 years of age wearing a dark colored jacket with an unknown logo on the left chest and a light colored collar and liner, dark colored shorts with “NIKE” on the left leg.  This subject also might have had a Bluetooth type phone device on his left ear.

 

Suspect 3) H/M thin build, Blk hair, appx. 18 years of age, wearing a white t-shirt with an unknown logo on the front, a dark colored hoodie type jacket with “Disneyland” on the back as well as on the front left chest and light colored pants, possibly blue jeans.

 

The other two Hispanic males shown in the surveillance pictures are not considered suspects but are being sought for questioning in identification of the original three suspects.

 

Subject 1) H/M short blk hair, medium build appx. 20 years of age wearing a black and white striped shirt, dark colored jacket with a hood, light colored pants and is the driver of a Maroon Chrysler PT Cruiser with temporary tags displayed.
